Even's Taipei

Our Taipei adventure. Last night, Even took us to experience Taipei as she knows it. We visited the beautiful Lungshan Temple where those who are looking for love go to pray to the gods for a good match. Then we traversed the winding pathways of the herb market where we tried tsing tsao tea -- both the herbal kind and the very, very, VERY bitter kind. Don't let Even feed you anything without seeing her drink it first! We had a very festive dinner followed by a visit to the snake shop. There we had a snake feast -- snake soup and meat with shots of snake venom, snake blood, snake bile, and ginseng. Quite the experience. The snake blood was actually very sweet, so that was enjoyable. Afterwards, we headed over to Huashan Creative Park where there are outdoor sculptures, cafes, art galleries, music venues, and artsy shops. Then we took the MRT back to rest at our hotel. All in all a great adventure!
